Hi in my tank i have live plants bog wood and a big rock yet i dont really see any good hiding places for the fish and its still very bright everywhere in tank,

I was just thinking that when the fish get in there they may not like having no where dark to hide?

If so what is the best way to make them happy? Artificial caves etc or some floating plants to block out some light (the corners and areas around rock and bogwood would them become good hiding places)

Artificial caves are good. You can also add some broad leaf plants such as anubias nana and possibly java ferns or amazon sword.

Floating plants such as Salvinia or indian fern.
Half coconut shells covered in riccia and held in place (the riccia) with a ladys hairnet
Drill a large hole in the middle of a coconut shell then saw through the coconut (half n half) scrape out all the innards and boil a few times. voila! 2 caves
or order from.

Scroll down to coconut hut.
