:dunno: Hi to everyone.
I have had my setup for nearly 3 months. I have cleaned my tank out regulary and have not had any problems. However, i cleaned it out 2 day's ago and have noticed that the fish are now staying near the top of the tank most of the time.It is as if they are gasping for air,,,but i have checked the levels and all seem's to be ok.I wondered if anyone has any idea's as to why this is.
Thanx

Welcome to the forum :)

Try posting your question in beginners but don't forget to give your tank size, how many and what fish you have and your water parameters so people can help you more easily.

My first thoughts would be perhaps they are lacking oxygen. Is the filter working properly and is there enough water agitation on the surface?

:hi: to the forums.

Certainly sounds like a lack of oxygen. When you cleaned it out two days ago, did you switch off your filter? if so it may not have started up again. Some internal filters do this from time to time, a tap on the top usually gets it running again. If its an old filter you may have to strip the impellar down and clean it up first.
