Ok, I am in collage, and I have been thinking about starting a tropical tank. Im thinking 10-20 gal.

Ok, bumble bee gobbies look interesting, but can I mix them with neons/otos, and other freshwater fish. Bumble bee gobbies apparently need some salt in the water and I was wondering if neons and stuff could put up with salt. If not thats fine, Im just checking my options

Im nowhere near in a hurry, as I would not start the tank for about 4 months yet.

Howdy pilgrim! :D I highly recommend downloading Neale Monk's software "More Can I Keep It?" It has many oddballs listed and you can see a vast variety of fish that can be kept with bummble gobys when you click on them: several different tetras, danios, loaches, cories, otos, rainbowfishes, and killifishes --- just to name some.

Neon and cardinal tetras are listed as not being compatible, according to the software. I don't know why though.

thanks for your help! It is strange that neons aren't listed as compatable. I will have to research why. But a need tool for sure!
