Hi there! I am new to the forum but not new to fishkeeping (I've been in the hobby since I was 4). Around 2 months ago I began to take interest in the South American catfishes commonly known as corydoras. Now that interest has progressed and I'm suffering from cory fever! I own 11 tanks, eight of which are used for breeding various cyprinids, killies, and livebearers. My prize catch however, are my three black corydoras. I'm not sure of their scientific names however, but the shopkeeper I bought them from tells me their either wild or F1. I'll post a picture to see if anyone can help me out.
      Thanks,

What a lovely cory!
Not sure exactly what you're wanting help with, do you mean in determining if it's wild or F1?
Or did you want the scientific name?

As Ch4rlie said, we  pics!

I'd like to know the scientific name, and ill be sure to post more pictures soon!

I'm really not good at IDing cories and whatnot, but from what I can gather it may be corydoras schultzei, which is apparently just a color variation of aeneus?
The aeneus part may well be wrong, if this is any indication http://www.fishforums.net/index.php?/topic/289641-black-cory/

Looks like it may be Corydoras schultzei, I saw a few of those links on my search and they got me confused. There is also another theory that they might be Corydoras sp. "Black Venezuela" or a black morph of  C. venezuelanus. Also, on another note, thank you to everyone for such a warm welcome!

Some links I found on the Cory IDing:
