im gonna do no co2 thingy for 10 gallon and try those out and then get the co2 thingy its pricey here in canada and want to invest in on for either 25 tall tank and in my 90 gallon tank but im so aftraid of screwups and ive read and re read and still nervous whats the best way to start out with and wht do you suggest i get we do have seachem and nutrifin thingy ive seen them in stores are around 30-100 dollars just for the co2 so thats why im iffy at it and dont wnt to waste money if htey dont work well and being coslty to maintain i do a weekly changes 25 - 40 depending on the tanks usually 25 percent changes is all i need to do though i get lsf and the girl who sold me the tank told me to do it every 3 weeks which my dh perfers but i said weekly makes fishy happier at least i think i dont know its a 90 gall the other 2 ok i cna do weekly no plm i just love the planted tank the tank lite is daylite florescent lites so im assuming is suffiscant for plant growth and what will grow if i dont get co2 in the 90 gal

It's not a question of what will grow without injecting CO2 but how many. If you're not injecting CO2 then I'm assuming you will have less than 2 watts per gallon of light (anything more and you *must* inject CO2). The general rule is that the lighter the green of the plant, the more light they require. You should be ok with *some* darker green plants...cuz even filling up your tank with low-light plants without CO2 won't work.

Why are you skeptical about the effects of CO2? I've only had my tank for 2 months and I've seen what CO2 can do. They do work, and they work well on a heavily planted tank.
