Hi All,

I'm new to keeping Tropicals.

Kept Marine for a while, but I think i'm the only person to go in reverse order (Marine, then Trops) lol

Haven't actually filled or stocked my tank yet, doing a few tweeks to the tank I bought.

Also making my own 3D background.....Not sure what you guys think of 3d backgrounds or if they are popular or not, but I liked the idea of it.

Just finished designing the background, and now just need to concrete.

Thats about it for now, but im sure I will be needing lots of help in the near future.

Mike

Ok Don't laugh then....this is my first attempt LOL.....

And I still need to concrete and colour concrete it......

Background looks great. Welcome to tropicals.
What size is the tank? What are you looking to stock?

Looks great welcome to the joys of tropicals.

With the background displacment? Im not sure.....

I'm looking to keep cichlids.....Mbuna and peacocks preferably. Need to look into the compatibility a bit more first.

Hi and welcome you have joined a great forum.

As for the dont laugh comment, what is there to laugh about, the back ground looks great and is even more impressive that you made it. How long did it take and how did you make it. Good luck with the tank and keep the pics coming.

Darren.

Hi Darren,

Cheers mate.

Background didn't take too long actually. A couple of hours an evening for a week just brushing down some polystyrene and some silicone to stick it together.

Each individual "brick" is a seperate piece, and ive made a couple of sections where im going to fill with gravel and put plants in.
