Hi all, Thought I'd introduce myself, my name is Jim and I'm from Birmingham.
Been thinking of getting a tropical aquarium for a while and finally bitten the bullet and done it!
Got myself a Tetra 60 litre tank, with heater, filter light etc. Not the biggest tank in the world but as I'm new to this I thought I'd start off with a manageable size!
It's now all set up, water has been treated with Aquasafe and it's decorated with some black and white gravel, couple of bits of bogwood and some decorative stones. Planted it up last night with a few plants and it looks excellent - well I think so anyway!!
Seem to have quite a bit of plant bits on the water top now, but will give it a good clean out and let the filter do its stuff!
Question - how long before fish can be introduced?? guy in the shop I bought the tank from said about a week, but some of the books I have say up to 3 or 4 weeks
So how long should I leave it??
Fish wise I am going for some Neon Tetra's, Swordtails and clown loaches as apparently they are easy to look after and good starter fish?? any comments??
Thanks and look forward to chatting soon!!
