Hello

I have just found the site, and would like to say hello!

I have had a tiny FW tank for 18 months, but have just treated myself to a 96L tank!

I also have a 400 L marine reef.

the thing is, The new tank is to be FW but I am finding it hard deciding what i want to keep.

I have tetras, guppies and botias in the tiny tank, but would love something more challenging.

the new tank isnt huge and due to having the reef, money is a bit tight , so would can you recommend?

I love angels, but can anyone help me choose what to go for?

many thanks

Kate

HiYa and welcome Kate

What a question! - the choice is endless

A challenge could be a well planted tank, or look at some oddballs, maybe breeding....... o the list could go on..... but thats the fun part choosing ;)

hello

thanks for the replies

yep, i am spoilt for choice, but i want to do it all! lol, but with this size tank, what would be best, I would like to go the planted route... heading off to look at some plants today, need to think ahead so will get a few ideas! :S

hope to get loads of ideas from the people here anyway!

96 liters, that transalates to about 25 gallons.

Thats a fairly good size for most community fish. Or you could go oddball and get stranger and rarer fish, but they tend to be either more difficult, or can be only be kept alone.

So what do you prefer?

hi

P.T. thanks for the reply!

What would you call 'odd ball' fish? and what kind of rare fish can you recommend?

i would love something different.

I work in an aquatics dept so get a bit fed up with the millions of tetras, danios and guppies! so to think outside the box would be fun!

we had a wonderful pair of parrots in a few weeks back, used to take chunks out of me when i cleaned the tanks, but they were nice...

but what can u recommend? No doubt i can use the supplier we have at work to find various ish, but would love a head start. Hence why I am keen to learn from all on here!

so, what can you suggest?

Might be a good idea to post your questions in the main forums - maybe TCC for this type of thing - you will get much more responses

If you want a real challenge maybe look at setting up a biotope  or breeding project :/
