Ok, so seriously, I think I'm going to need a 12 step program.

I have a 20 US gallon tropical community tank, a 30 US gallon planted tropical community tank, an empty 10 US gallon that's cycling to be a fry/grow out tank, and now I think I have hubby convinced to let me get a 55 US gallon! I'm so excited over the possibilities for this new tank!

I know I'll go planted with this one, but what fish to get...... See my siggie for what I already have in the other tanks....I want something different in this one, but due to reproduction the new tank will eventually end up with some of the existing species as well as my platties, guppies, danios, and ghost shrimp are all producing babies.

A South American biotope maybe?

I know the feeling! I'm so tempted for another tank, and I've not even finished cycling my first one yet.

I don't really have space for a second tank, but in any case I promised myself that if I did have a second tank, it'd be a marine one so it gives me incentive to not get another until I'm ready for that leap.

I have found that people are very willing to take home grown babies vs. going to the lfs. I rehomed 9 babies, and a pleco, all to 125g+ tanks. It's keeping me from getting overstocked!

hi and welcome to fish addicts anonymous!!
:hi:

you have definitely come to the right place!! i was so delighted to find this forum!! some brilliant, knowledgable people, great advice and somewhere we can all 'harp on' about our fish tanks without boring our partners/friends to death!!! i am so jealous of all the tanks you have!! i moved to a flat and had to get rid of my 200l discus tank! i now live in a bungalow and have to make do with an 80l... !! i am delighted for you getting your new tank. can't wait to hear what you are going to stock it with!! anyway good luck and feel free to post any pics or questions up here..we are all happy to help!

It's great to have fellow addicts!

Most of my fry and young shrimp will go to a good LFS, but I want to keep some (breeding), so a new and bigger tank is a good excuse

I'll look at the South American Biotope suggestion, I've been researching fish all night

CezzaXV a coworker of mine has a 100 US gallon marine tank and it's beautiful! His wife has a 55 US gallon freshwater and a 20 US gallon freshwater. Fish sitting for them is why I got my first tank

I only have space for one tank, unfortunately. But in my dreams

my house is the equivalent to sea world. Just sitting in the middle of a room and left, right and centre, above and underneath is just one massive tank . Or loads of massive tanks with fish everywhere

Hmmm, wishful thinking......
