This is my very first tank...
I have bought a little 24lt starter tank and filter, was originally planning on goldfish, but after some reading I'm now just planning on 4-5 variatus platy fish.
Just going with room temp tank. I have some small gravel and planted a some real plants at the back, however everyone is telling me they won't last ;(
I've used the Api street coat, and added stree zyme, waiting a week before adding fish.
Pretty clueless, but reading as much as possible and bought a test kit to keep on top of water conditions etc.
Bit confused about air stones, not sure if I need one or now, starter kit did not mention one.
Getting mixed info, are they just for decoration?
Look forward to getting involved and recording my beginner progress if anyone is interested
