Before you ask loads of questions, have a look at the stickes on each forum first, these may answer many of the questions you have.
My best bit of advice i can give to a newbie, is research everything. The type of fish you want to keep, the tank you want to keep them in, the equipment you will need. It may seem a bit baffling at first, but at least when you do have problems, you may have some idea what is causing it, and how to cure it. I would also reccomend reading some of the fishkeeping magasines, these often have helpful articles on fishkeeping and how to set up your own tank. If you're in the UK i can suggest Practical Fishkeeping, and Tropical Fish magasines, both have many articles on tropical and saltwater fishkeeping.
But of course, feel free to ask any questions on anything you're not sure about.
