Hi Guys,
i ended up here by accident, boy am i pleased. i have been reading your posts and they are great, very informative. i have only been keeping bettas for about 3 months now but find them fascinating. i have been keeping fish for over 30 years in total. i specialise in livebearers, especially wild type xiphophorus and some goodeids also a few true strain guppies, coffertails and blue halfblacks.
i have 12 bettas at the minute, with more coming soon. i have ct, hm, superdeltas, german longfin, and a plakat. all have females to match.
i am hoping to get soon
pair of white hm
pair of solid yellow hm
pair of gold hm
pair of white ct.
solid red ct


my red ct spawned 3 days ago and the fry are causing the male some grief as they dart towards the bottom of the tank.
also have superdelta fry which are nearly 7 weeks old.

will try and post some pics.

oh, meant to ask, do any of you guys know anything about a betta called a Banpeaw?

thanks for the warm welcome.
bettaman, i do hope you don't mind me using the picture, i can't get one as good. he never shows off for me.
i look forward to getting the fish.
fish in avitar spawned again for 2nd time 4 days ago, fry are doing well but male is out as i think he was starting to eat them again.
can't tell how many there are but have seen a few dozen.
i'm going to spend some time over the weekend and take some photos of my bettas. will post them in my album.
oh, i live in sunderland.
i am thinning out my livebearers so i have more room for the bettas, they are addictive.

any hints on looking after the fry when i'm off on my hols. i am not going to spawn any more fish now untill i get back early october. most fry will be 2-3 months by then. so there will be no brine shrimp for them. my nephew will be feeding the fish. livebearers are ok as they will manage on flake and adult fighters will manage on frozen bloodworm.
