He might have fin rot, dropsy and some other parasitical disease. Do you use a filter? A bubbler? Tank size in gallons? Substrate? I couldnt tell the size because volume is Length x Width x Hight. I think he might be old, becasue they are suseptible more to disease.

right to upload photos i have found this the best way.

1) create a FREE account on photobucket.com
2) upload your pictures onto there where they are automatically resized to fit the forum and coded
3) copy the IMG tag of your chosen picture and paste into your reply box
4) hit reply and your picture *should* appear

cant be, its imposible.

white stringy poo is a internal parisite. eather treat the fish with an internal parisite med, or the fish will die. the fish just cant get rid of it just like that, it has to be treated.

edit: my bad i just saw this was a thread from august.
