Hello everybody,

I am a 13-year-old aquarist, well rookie. In fact, a real rubbish one. I've been saving up for a year and bought a tank and cupboard for £150 it's fairly big. Plus over £40 on test kits, fish, medicines, equipment care etc. I am now completely bankrupt! Oh well it's a lot of fun. My real name is Nima as you can tell I'm south Asian (Iran) Don't get scared it not Iraq. Anyway, I have 2 penguin Tetras, I used to have 3 Neon Tetras but sadly 2 died from New-Tank-Syndrome, I should buy more but there bloody expensive! (£11 for 5!!!!!!) I have 1 Red Neon Dwarf Gourami, 1 pair of guppies (1 male, 1 female) 1 orange swordtail and 2 Rainbow sharks, which are really KILLING each other and my neon’s! I need to get rid of one, I mean take back to the shop not kill! :p I kept the water without fish for 5 days, and added bacteria, but It obviously wasn’t long enough. I also have a unique excitement seeing fish eat livefood such as brine shrimp!

Regards

Hi there!! regarding the neon tetras... they need to be in a group of at least 6. Any less, then they'll get stressed out because the won't have a shoal to swim around in. =)
And the rainbow sharks... giving them back will be a good thing.. maybe you could get some guppies instead =D
