just joined this forum today ,im totally new to tropical fish,ive set my tank up and would just like to know,what best fish for starting off with,my tank is 3 foot

Hey mate! Hello to you too , thought I'd answer you in your thread I have a nice classic community tank; 2 Zebra danios, a glass catfish, a siamese fighter, a gold tetra, 3 guppies and a clean up crew consisting of three zebra apple snails. In my marine tank I have hermit crabs, chitins, anemones and tube worms. As to your question about the 3ft, I definately aggree with Chesterscot about the zebras. Mine seem nice and happy, plus my tetra's seemed to start shoaling with them (He has a personality complex) so it shows they can be good community fish. Can I also strongly recommend you get some zebra apple snails, these guys strip algae like nobodys buisness! I've had my tropical set up with those in it for around 6 months now, I've never had to scrape the glass!
