Hi as you may guessed my name is Joseph.I am a single parent and youthworker from the Central belt of Scotland. My original,(and continues to be, sorry if I offend anyone..),interest in fish is through game fishing. Being a keen salmon and trout fly fisher made me more and more drawn to the behaviour of fish.So when I am not cooking ,cleaning (or any other orders 'they who must be obeyed' have for me),or working every hour god gives me ,I can be found either up to my elbows in water disturbing the domestic fish, or up to my waist in flowing mountain water trying to con a member of the salmon tribe into accepting a meal of feathers and thread with the mad mongrel either watching or swimming alongside me.
Anyhow I sometimes nip over to North USA and was surprised to find fish in glass vases at the supermarket swimming around the stalks, discovered they were bettas and have been a wee bit curious since,so a couple of months ago I bought a couple and now I want to find out more . I am sworn to keep them in better conditions than those that are touted in Giant Eagle stores in Pennsylvania.
But I am new to the whole thing,so please be patient with me........
