I used to keep tropicals and goldfish years ago, then about a year ago my landlord was given a Juwel Vision 260 aquarium and wasn't particuarly interested. I've pretty much taken it off him and am having a great time
In the 260 Juwel Vision;
1x random sailfin/common pleco (lone survivor from the previous owner)
4x little albino bristlenose plecs (I've still prolly managed to buy all males or all females!)
2x Boeseman's rainbow fish (a pair which are spawning like crazy things)
x swordtails of varying colours adult & growing on (breeding red-tailed blacks with as much metallic green as possible)
x sailfin mollies adult & growing on (breeding saffron yellows and trying to introduce lyretail)
x guppies adult & growing on (not really aiming for anything, mix of blues and red/yellow tails with and without spots)
x red cherry shrimp
In the little partitioned 2ft fry tank upstairs;
1x khuli loach (love these little guys but I don't really do well with them, the last guy of 3)
1x batch of sailfin molly fry from my big orange/black female (thrown a mix of blacks, pieds and solid colour, plus everything in-between)
4x Boeseman's rainbowfish fry (survivors of my first attempt to raise thier spawn, learned a lot from my first trail run)
1x dwarf yellow puffer fish on a snail-destroying shift rotation
x red cherry shrimp which breed worse than rabbits in this tank, the puffer doesn't even eat them!
I live in the Coventry area and would like to meet like-minded people, especially for swapsies! I'll chuck a bucket of livebearers and cherry shrimp at you in exchange
If you've got female bettas/fighter fish or guppies that are nicer than mine I'd be interested. I'd also pretty much give you a leg or an arm for a couple of female lyretail swordtails of any colour providing they've got red fins!
