After years of wanting, I now have my tank and my fish.

Sadly 3 of my Guppies have died, and my heater packed in, and after reading the don't do's, I realise i haven't done much right! , but hopefully with the good advice on here i can start to get things right. Yes, I have a Pleco, advised to get one from man in shop, two catfish, five guppies,(two left) and two Dalmation Molly's. I have had them all for only four days. I woke this morning to find 3 guppies dead, and twelve baby fish!, being a complete beginner I didn't know what to do, so took out the dead fish, drove to the local fish shop and got a net tank to sit in the water and put the babies in, as the Molly's were trying very hard to eat them all.

I have sat like a mother hen, watching the rest of them on and off all day, worrying, am i going to wake up in the morning to more dead fish?

Any advice would be welcome, very welcome.

By the way, I'm usually a lot more cheerful than this.

Yeah we all make those begginer mistakes but it's alright it's all part of the learning curve. There is a lot of great advice to help you int the future here.
