Hi everyone and a happy new year I found this site a few weeks ago and it has been an invaluable resource as I have gone about setting up my new tank. I’m not quite a newbie as I kept fish back in the mid 80’s and I always wanted them again but never had the space until now. Things certainly have moved on in the last 20 years back then there was no testing for ammonia or nitrites or anything else for that matter (that sort of high tech stuff was for marine fish).

Hi businesslamb interesting ID. Welcome to the forum. I have had times when I was out of the hobby too. The available information and products out there has improved greatly. But, I do remember using test kits for my freshwater tanks back in the 80's.
