Hi I'm Neeps, I'm Scottish living in England at the moment, I've been keeping goldfish since I was 6 almost 12 years ago but I only got my first tropical tank in march, already had some breeding success with my celestial pearl danios and had the oddity of a finnipping rummynose tetra, which has now been removed along with all of the other rummynose' for their own saftey as my fighting fish had started to attack them all, and were replaced with 6 chili rasbora. My only tank at the minute is a 65 litre heavily planted tank with 4 chili rasbora, 6 celestial pearl danio's, 4 peppered cory and a siamese fighting fish

Welcome to the forums :good:. I'd of kept the Rummy Nose and re-homed the fighter fish, if it's male it should be kept on his own I do belive, but I've never kept fighter fish so I'm not 100% on this. Maybe someone else can help you there.

:)

Hi,

I'm a relative Newbie too. I have a Siamese Fighter in my community tank along with Rummy-nose tetras, Red Lyre Swordtails, Cardinal tetras and Cherry Barbs. He hasn't had a problem with any of them. I DID have a problem with Guppies beating up my fighter, (Guppies were re-homed) but he's never been agressive towards anything.
I originally had him in a tank on his own, but decided to try him in the community tank. He is MUCH happier, and he is more active.
