Hi everyone.
I just got started in fishkeeping when I inherited my dad's old 10gallon tank after his 9-year-old angelfish died. (He had it for so long and got so attached that when it passed he buried it under the willow tree in the yard with the other family pets - it had earned the right to a flush-free funeral. That sucker was a smart fish, and would tap on the glass with his head demanding to be fed whenever anyone came down to the basement.)
I've got a male marble and a female golden molly and five neon tetras, and a growing accumulation of pond snails. There were some cycling, er, problems over the past week or so but the nitrate levels have subsided and my poor molly's poppy eye has returned to normal. And the tetras, apparently, have spawned. Now I know where to come when these problems arise.
Here's a picture of my half-baked get-up, complete with a castle and a bubbly diver. The marble molly is chasing his wife, as usual, and most of the tetras have made an appearance.
