Hi all, im chris just joined the forum and look forwards to picking as many of your brains as possible to make sure i have healthy as possible fish , ive always wanted to keep fish so have recently started the hobby, i have received a (about 55 ltr) 2x1x1 ft tank as was thinking this would be a good starter tank, however finding out keeping water quailty is harder with a small tank was a bit of a "oh yea" moment, well ive set it up now going on a fishless cycle. I will be posting on the help section in a short while to get some questions over with and thanks in advance for any help you lot give me. chris.

Welcome Chris, glad to here your going down the fishless cycle route, 55l will be a good starting point i still have my starter (60l) over 10 years down the line

Welcome to the forums Glad to see you in the fish world, careful it gets addictive! Ive been careing for fish all my life (with mothers help when I was younger of course haha) and ended up taking a beak for a year due to a leak in a tank that actually was passed down from my grandmother!

But now I have my own and ever since ive been buying even more tanks! (mostly small for breeding). Glad to see you're going through the cycle before getting the fish, lots of people forget about that. Have you gotten any ideas as to what fish your going for?

Hi thanks , yea i know ive already been looking fo bigger tanks already lol, ive got a thread going on new tank set up atm about this, but yea i got my heart set on 5-6 false bandit cories to start with and im just trying to figure out what else i want, kinda leaning towards firework danio's and black or pineapple swordtails , dred to hink how many tanks you have now lol

Haha.. I have a 60 gallon two 10 gallons and one 2.5 gallon. Also thinking about getting a 75 gallon and I've only been going from last december LOL. I've never seen a pineapple or black swordtail before.. But firework danio's are beautiful fish
