Hi all!

I'm 29 from Northampton, have been keeping fish since I was fifteen, classic scenario started with a goldfish bowl & fair ground fish!

I now have six tanks, four permanent & one my new addition.

Tank 1 is 30" general community fish collection with tetras, tiger barbs & the like. Star fish is my 3" orange Chromide that I've kept for 4 years.

Tank 2 is 96" long and contains mainly Malawi Mbuna's with the usual Zebra variants, Socolofii, Yellow Labbs & star fish is my male 6" Dimidiochromis compressiceps, (also have female).

Tank 3 is 48" and includes a few plants, Cherry barbs, Rummy nose tetras, black widows, & neons.

Tank four is 48" x 20" x 20" and contains various rainbow fish, red eyed tetra & congo's. Star fish is my Red Spotted Sevrum, about 5" and kept for 3 years.

Tank 5 is my temporary 18" planted (Java moss, Moss balls & anubias) Red Cherry Shrimp Tank.

Tank 6 is a very recent purchase an unusual 39" x 24" Coffee table tank currently with no inhabitants, & looking for inspiration.

Over the years I've kept many different types of fish from tank busting oddballs to community fish & am still learning the hobby day by day. Glad to have found this forum full of fiskkeeping & species knowledge, post again soon!

Hi and welcome :) What a fab collection of tanks! I think you'll enjoy it here :)

Wow, that is a cool set up!

Just of interest, how much would you say you spend on your hobby each month? I may be able to ise this as ammunition with my better half later on!

I've never really thought about that! Obviously, the main cost is initial purchase & setup of tanks & equipment, followed by livestock replacement, food, maintenance & electricity costs.

I'll let you know if I ever work it out, but all of the tanks are quiet low tech, no long photo periods, CO2, salts or chemicals used apart from standard dechlorinator.
