Hi all,

Had fish for a while now, started with a really small tank, the pump packed up on Thurdays (sometime) we were at work, got home, oh my god, what a mess, managed to get my pump working again, but decided it was time to invest in a bigger better tank, and now we have a wonderful wave tank, holds about 60 litres with 4 plants and 8 surviving fish, and oh my god the highest Nitrite level I have ever seen. So tonight we are doing a 20% water change, starving the poor buggers, in an attempt to reduce the Nitrite Level asap, I really dont want to loose my surviving fish.

Anyone got any other ideas to get the Nitrite down ASAP Please.

Look forward to any replies.

hi,
welcome to tff,
all you can do is water changes ,while keeping an eye on ammonia ans the nitrite while your tank cycles,
at least you have a test kit to monitor the water :good: . all the best donna :)
