Hi all I have 1 55 gal with swordtails and 4 10 gal. 1 has guppies and the other 3 are being used for plants right now. The swordtails keep having babies I started out with 3 and have around 50 now. as soon as they get a little bigger Ill have to move some of them to the other tanks. would like to give them away and get anything that isnt a live bearrer. The guppies are just as bad. I thought it would be nice to try and raise swords but i never thought they would have so many little ones. They seem to have them when I do a half tank water change. Ive done 2 in the last 4 months and both times there were babies the next day. Strange.
I hope to read and learn so hi to you all and have a good day

Hi and welcome to the forum. :hi:

If there is a mom & pop type fish store (not a chain like Petsmart) near you, they would probably take the swordies and guppies off your hands and maybe offer credit for new fish. Of course, you can always just let nature take it's course when babys are born and not worry about moving them and raising the fry. I think swords, platys and guppies are really pretty but just don't want the hassle of dealing with livebearers so I have stayed away from them.
