Not been on for a while but thought I would share some pics of my new 5' tank with you all.

Here are a few pics of my oscars too for you all.
This is Lia, she was named by my 7 year old daughter who says she can see the word LIA in her markings (can't see it myself)

This is Versuvius, unfortunatly the pic doesn't do him justice. I called him Versuvius 'cause of his markings which you can't see in this pic but they just look like lines of Lava running down a volcano and before anyone tells me I know I have spelt Versuvius wrong.

Yeah it is very relaxing to watch. My hubby keeps telling me on a night that the tv is at the other end of the room and that it isn't showing a programme about fish all night. to be honest though I would rather watch me fish or be cleaning/planting the tank than sit and watch telly. Cleaning out a 5' tank takes ages, I syphon it with the hose pipe and refill with the hose pipe. I have a mixer tap so can regulate the water temp. I have done this for a while without any problems what-so-ever.

That is a nice tank? Are those real plants? Your lucky your Os haven't torn them to bits.

yes they are live plants. the oscars don't seem to like them too much. Lia tends to have a pic at them and uproot them but I just replant them when she does that.

I am getting a few more live plants soon from greenline so I will try and get some more tank pics when they arrive and I have planted them where I want them. Will try and get some more pics of some of my other occupants shortly.
