Hi all,

Just got into this hobby, managed to pick up a second hand Juwel Lido 120 - still wet media even though tank had been emptied and the fishless cycle took 4 days (very lucky I know)

First fish to go in were 4 mollys - my daughter chose them - was a little grumpy as they didn't really "do it" for me - luckily I love them now, they come to the glass when I go near and have a reight time playing!

Later picked up some Neons and a two peppered Corys (don't worry, this is an abbreviated introduction, these weren't all added at once - there was sufficient time in between) - aiming to get some more corys as I have read they prefer bigger groups.

Suprisingly to me, but to the elation of my daughter one of the mollys has also just given birth - I can only see two - called them Stephen and Up.

Heres a picture!

New tank already lol you have the bug! :D

Mts (multiple tank syndrome)

Yes 6 cories preferably.

Had you used mature media? I would keep a close eye on your water stats just in case - which test kits do you use?

Well I look forward to seeing pics of your larger tank :)

Welcome to the forum.

Yes, the media including Cirax basket, 2 fine blue sponges, 1 coarse blue, carbon sponge were still wet and in the tank when we went to collect and hadn't been cleaned, I suppose that's one of the benefits of an internal Juwel filter they kind of have to go with the tank :)  - has been running now for a fair while (months).  We use the API liquid test kit and all levels are super.

hey congrats and welcome to the forum :)

yep MTS is addictive :p haha, and pretty much most fish prefer larger numbers including the molly's neon's but cory's especially when you get more experienced and feel more money more the key aspect looking into tanks with sand instead of gravel as the cory's love sand :)

well done with your current tanks you seem to know what your talking about regards to cycling and stuff good luck for the future and we shall see you all around here :D

Cheers
Ziko
