Clearly I'm considering on modifying my fish setup.I currently have two gold fish  in a 10 gallon tank.I don't know if I need to get a larger fish tank yet or remains with this dimension.Well now for the questions...

1. Can a black light distress my fish?

2. Which kind of fish would respond preferable to the black light however can peacefully live together with my present fish?

3. Must i have a larger tank?what size?

1. It might, it might not. Black light could potentially hurt their eyes or they wouldn't understand it as daylight and not be as active. I can't say for sure though, it's just a guess. How long do you plan on having it on for? An hour or two? All day?

2. Have you seen Glofish? They are fish genetically modified zebra danios that glow neon colors, especially under blacklight. Those are the only fish I can think of that would be worth looking at under black light. Glofish also glow under blue(actinic) light which I think is proven to be safe with fish while black light is kind of questionable. (glofish under actinic)

3. Absolutely. If you're going to buy a new tank, get at least a 20 gallon (30-40 gallons would be better, but 20 is better than nothing if you don't have the space) for the goldfish and use the 10 gallon for the new fish you want. If you don't buy a new tank, I wouldn't recommended adding anything to the 10 gallon right now. You are already overstocked on that tank with just the two goldfish in there.
