Right firstly being new to the forum id like to say hi all sorry my first post is with a problem but isnt that how most of us start on new forums
Right spose id better let you no the history , i have recently bought a new tank as my fish population outgrew my old tank now in the old tank although the nitrate levels were very high i had no problems with fish health however since changing tanks my fish have developed errr problems now i have a large amount of different fish in the tank mostly small species neons, glowlights, scisortales ,clown loaches, clorodurus(probably spelt wrong),skeleton fish (sorry dont know there real name) bumblebee gobbys, and lastly gobbys now its them and only them that are having problems  now they look like they have whitespot, finrot, hollow stomachs, colour darkness(some)pale (others),they kinda wobble when swimming and ive had a few deaths now ive treated using interpet treatments for finrot8,white spot7,and anti bacterial9 and dr welfins salt when filling the tank i used tap water with tap water conditionerand that cycle stuff ph balance and nitrominus errr all top ups are done from my garden water butt as that has near perfect water qualitys now of all the treatments the one that seemed to have most affect was the antibacterial one but nowt seems to cure the problems and they just persit and the guppys just seem to be getting worse oh tell a lie one of the skeleton fish had some white spots on his side .
So if you made it through that little lot and are still awake what do you recon folks whats the problem and where am i going wrong :-(

Hi andiepops and welcome to the forum, sorry your experiencing problems.

Firstly we need some more information from you in order to try and help.

What size tank is it? How many fish and how many of each species.
Do you have your water test results, ie: ammonia, nitrite and nitrate
When you transferred the fish to the new tank did you use your exising filter or filter media?

I imagine the 'skeleton fish' are X-ray Tetras?
Corydoras catfish do you mean for clorodurus?

Hi yes thanks for the reply err the tank is 5ft by 2ft by about 18 inches i have about 20 guppys 2 bumblebee gobbys 2 skeleton fish which are some sort of transparent catfish 8 blue neons 5 black neons four clown loaches (still small) 5 glowlights 4 scissor tales 3 apple snails and two i think probably corydoras catfish, nitrate levels are still very high nitrite non existant filter come with the tank which was running a marine setup so was all cleaned right off its a big old aquariams life support system also in the final tank of that im running my old fluval 3 plus till the other filter starts working fully
