First off, this is my first time owning a tropical tank. I've owned goldfish (3 in my 30g tank) for two years and got tired of the messy pigs... I'm not sure if my tank is overstocked or not but we'll get to that later. I have a 30g cycled tank in it with mostly silk plants and one plastic. I had a female betta in a little 1 gallon filtered tank in my kitchen and I've recently added her to the tank successfully
.. I originally had only 3 black finned tetras(?) in the tank. They were my testing fish to make sure my heater and thermometer were properly adjusted and that my water was liveable after doing a waterchange after rehoming the goldfish. Afterwards a man down the street decided he wanted african chichlids(sp?) and wanted to rehome his 30g tropical stock.
So now my tank has- 3 black finned tetras, 2 silvertipped shark catfish (that I don't really want), 1 chinese algae eater, 8 zebra danios, 1 female betta, and a pearl gourami. Now the catfish I learned are going to outgrow the tank for sure, so either way those are going sooner than later.. but even if I rehome those two, will my tank be ok?
