hey guys, I have had a topic in New Worlds going for some time about getting pinned topics up there on the husbandry of their fish, and someone brought up the point that you guys here might like to do the same.

then I thought that is a darn good idea, so I invite ya guys to do so.

I've been writeing one for mbuna feeding that i will post but it'll have to wait untill I'm done school before i'll finish

any input would be apreciated

Vantage the only input that I will offer at this time is that I would like to see it broken down into groups, while Mbuna are a large group, do you think that it could be broken down further into groups such as the psuedotrophus sp. etc....?

He'd have to juan or it wouldn't be an accurate post ;)

hmm I'm not sure if I got what your looking or it's about 3/4 written and three pages long so will obviously need alot more editing, I've just done the easy stuff off the top of my head and will have to do the real research later

I mainly discuss options and I tried to be more detailed about simple things that could be misunderstood, I mention that certain fish require meatier foods and go into a little detail for the supplement foods mentioning a few species that need more plant and a few that need more meat but other then that it is generally mbuna.I figure the diet doesn't vary much anyways, you feed em cichlid pellets or flakes and supplement with spirulina flakes, vegetables, seaweed and frozen foods. Some species get slightly more plant and some slightly more meat. I have a few species mentioned as to which end they'd be on maybe a few others would make a better article,
Either that or I'm not quailified for this-that's my understanding

it would be helpful if you could give some info about species specifics freddyk you have at least twenty times more experience then me

lol no no vantge don't misunderstand general is GOOD!!! in fact I thought about it deeper and if you get into too much detail people will be feeling lost, but on the other hand that wouldn't make much of a topic if it was to general, imagine a pinned topic: feed your fish cichlid pellets and suppliment with.... but as you said it is 3 pages already and yes further editing is needed as imo 3 pages is too much.
basically looking for something similar to what DD has in new worlds. in fact I am thinking that it is the format that I would prefer to see in an article.
