Well, Yep i'm a newbie! and never used forums before. I've had 2 tanks both big 6ft (excluding tanks we had as a family growing up. I have learnt a lot by trial and error with few fish deaths I am happy to say 
I travel around a lot so lots of selling off or re homing of fishes. I bought my first tank in Indonesia. Cheap stuff but not good quality and LFS info about fish species was a bit lacking!! Cichlids pretty blue and black striped about 2cm long when I bought them... ate or argued with most everything else in my tank! Returned to the shop I bought them from... next was a pretty unidentifiable red eyed big mouthed drain fish yes drain fish.... Drainy was caught and introduced by my maid. Woke up the next day to no other fish in my tank except Drainy extremely fat!
neons, tiger barbs, danios all gone. Drainy returned to the drain pronto but extremely well fed!!
So moved to Perth and found a great LFS! Learnt about Kh, cycling, Co2 injection etc then back to Indonesia. Sold my tank before moving complete with stuff and now in Singapore (4 years later) A brand new 72 x 24 x 30 inch tank with custom wet/dry filter. I arrives this Wednesday! Cant wait Its an exciting prospect and a rather large Cat TV so my kittens should enjoy it too! I hope it all goes well and really glad that I have found such a great forum!! Will update with pictures and looking forward to chatting with everyone!!
