Hey* A Little Help Needed ^^

G'day, I recently purchased my first fish tank it came as a package - filter, lights, heater, stand and tank. ^^

My questions is: the foam underlay that most, if not everyone, seem's to have. Do i need one too? - i assumed not considering it didnt come with it ... and i forget to ask.

people use foam to stabalise uneven worktops/ tables etc.. if your not on a gradient its not necessary, and for most it is merely precuationary when it comes to large tanks.. a small tilt in a big tank = immense pressure on one side causing small cracks.. then bigger cracks.. then flooding.

Has your tank got a floating base?

As seanc says its mostly a precautionary, if your tank came with its own matching stand you probably won't need any underlay as the stands surface will be designed to be perfectly flat and smooth .
