I would like to measure the Gallons in my tank, I have found sites that do this but with 1 problem! My tank is hexagon so will contain less water then a cube etc

do you know a site that takes this into account? :S

No sorry, but what you could do is divide your tank into a square and two triangles (imagining the tank from viewed on top) and measure the dimensions of these shapes in centimeters (the height of the shapes will all be the same ). one you have the dimensions of the three shapes, calculate the volume in cu. centimeters. Divide the total by 1000, and you will have your tank size in liters. Then all you have to do is go to a site that coverts liters to gallons and you will know the total. :)
Although I think finding a website might be a little easier.

hmm mabey if I don't get my aunts 5 gallon I could get a small hexagon tank for my wanted betta.

MWhahaha

Thnks fishlover, i'm going to attempt to find one!

I have two 2 gallon hex tanks for bettas and they work out very well. They come with a small pump that you can throw away and a light. I think they are about $20 at Walmart.
