He's Here!

GREAT!!

I'm glad you finally got them..that little girlie is a cutie too ;) ;).

I agree with Kelly...they usually color up better after you've had them a while. The fish you saw in the AB ad is your fish..supposedly (they generally say if it's not). If it said it was then it is..so he should color up to match it in due time.

**PS**
I'm gonna PM you some pictures of my cories and see if you can help me correctly identify them..you seem to knwo alot about the wittle corries lol. And I'm really curious to know if I identified them properly (since the LPS only called them "cories" and "spotted cories" lol).

Awesome awesome, they've got beautiful colours!! I'm kinda surprised the bags had so much water in them... generally it's recommended to use more air than water, but I guess if you were getting them shipped 1-2 day it doesn't matter as much

Hi Synirr :)

I have to admit that I expected them to arrive in much smaller bags with much less water in them. I've seen how bettas arrive at my lfs, and IMHO, those little bitty bags they are sealed up in are just horrible. Those poor little fish are not even able to turn around properly.

I suspect that bettas, like other fish, probably absorb water through their skins and constantly eliminate it by peeing. Even though fish are usually fasted before shipping it would not stop this process. This would have to result in at least somewhat unsanitary conditions.

All things considered, I believe that it's the overall health of the fish when it's shipped that is the deciding factor for it's health on arrival, but with all the things that could happen to it during shipping, why take chances?

I was very pleased to see that my betta was provided with generous amounts of both water and air. :D

Hi SRC :)

I'll be happy to look at your corys, but why not start a thread in the Catfish forum? There are other members who are good at identification and of course, everyone likes to see pictures of corys! :D
