They have some 2" Juvis in my LFS, they look a little bland, more blue than green, almsot 'snake skin' than fish scaley :S

Anyone know what they look like?

Is £10 a 2" juvi expensive also? I was told by the store they are rare.

try that.
apart from your average gold severum none look the same as adults when small.
they aren't particularly rare as such, just a kind of wild like variation similar but less colourful to heros sp. rotkeil.
they are worth as much as someone will pay for them really, i've seen them go for more than £10 for a 2" fish but at the same time i've seen them go for less so its up to you, they get big so you will need them in at least 55 gallons.

Yeh he will go in my 120g, i'm trying to get a group of males together.

No i want a group of males to cause a pecking order, Males will fight when in 2's.

I'm not a fan of Females, they are kinda dull in comparison.

In the wild they stick in large groups of Males, whereas the females are solitary, the leader of the pack will seek out the females, so its recommended if you have Males to have them in 'packs' not as individuals, where the dominant fish will pick on the weaker.

I done it before with 4 and it worked fine, i know a guy on another site who had 15 males together (adults) in a pond and it worked nicely to.

In fact last time when i had 2 males, it was a warzone until i added the other 2.

General rule is a group of odd numbered males.

Females will work but they don't look as nice and do not have the pecking order/natural behavior, they will just ignore each other.

(Hope that doesent sound rude dave, i appreciate your input :) )
