Not knowing where you are, that's difficult to answer. Have U seen them there before? I think you just take care of them like another crab, but without the container it's in full of water. My sister kept a bunch in a bucket, more-less, until the cats ate them all.
Well, obviously U can't go pick them up if you can't see them. So if they're not native to malaysia, chances are you can't. About picking up and keeping wild animals as pets, I've known my sister to do that with all kinds of critters, so I don't see why not.
There's too many species of hermit crabs. My suggestion is to catch one of these things, take a picture, and find out what species it is. I'm sure a lot of people here could help you.
Well dependinmg on the size, land hermit crabs tend to be larger than SW crabs. SW crabs are hard to take care of, but I have a land hermit crabs that i never take care of and he's well over 10 years old!!!
If they live where you do then why do you want one at all?
You could just buy a snorkel and watch them in their natural habitat!
By the way, your a lucky *********! How do you get to live there? I'm stuck in manchester
