I have breeding conditions for guppies for all the newbs out there :cool:

Tank:: at least 5 gallons

Strata: Middle, Top

Water: PH 5.5--8.5 75-79 degress F **They can adjust to pure lake water!!**

Setup: Plant tank densley leaving a little room for swimming **very easy fish to keep**

Food: Omnivorous, Offer live food once a week

Mating Behavior: The male shapes into a C and shakes infront of a female

Breeding: very easy, Maintenance or breeding tank of at least 5 gallons. Only young males and female go after the fry (I suggest using a breeding box Net or Trap) 10 to 40 brood I heard someone had 200???? i dought that :lol:

Rearing food: Dry Food

very useful for the new guppybreeders I think
but just one comment: I would still leave them a lot of room to swim
and a lot of plants in the back, or in a corner
they are very very active, and if my plants grow too much, and they don't have a lot of room anymore, they just hang still untill I remove some of the plants

Also, it's good to have 3 females to one male ratio...
(Sometimes a male will harass a single female to death)
