hmmm, well sam, as always youre entitled to your opinion, and as always, you give it. they are all quite happy and spoiled, but thank you for your concern.

i'm guessing that because some are hanging out on the bottom in the pics and because some have a yellow cast that makes them look bad to you. between the light and the plastic of the containers they were in for photographing, the color looks just awful. those on the bottom, went there when i turned on the light (they aren't used to bright light like that). i kept those shots because those were the only ones i had that they didn't move in the yellow VT and the MG CTs were in small round cup containers because they are normally in very decorated/planted tanks, so this was the easiest way to get photos of those three.

sam, you can now rest easy that there is no betta cruelty happening here. B)

thanks cc! he's one of my favorites too. i love how he always flares when i approach his tank, then he goes all cute and puppy like when he knows the food is coming. he has such personality

and adorable fish! i'm just getting into bettas (only have two females) but i really wish i could have ones that look like yers!

I think they look fantastic, there just one betta that looks kinda sick, likes hes been beaten up.

Its different if a 12 yr old came on here and posted pics of her betta, it could look nasty but no one would say so. Mam is old enough to take it.

thanks for the comments though everyone. was hard work taking all those pictures. over 450 shots, to get these sad shots..... i've mastered the art of the macro button, now if i oculd just get down the lighting issue, my beauties would look as good as they really do
