Hemianthus callitrichoides in the UK?

Has anyone ever seen Hemianthus callitrichoides available in the UK?

Greenline doesn't stock it and I'm awaiting replies from Java and Birstall.

It's a lovely carpeting plant but notoriously expensive and hard to get established.

I've just e-mailed Tropica direct to see if they supply it to anyone over here.

I was looking for some in the US instead of using Riccia, but couldn't find any. Anyway... that's the US not the UK.

I've tried to find online retailers that supply that too and couldn't find any.

From what i've read about it, it grows really slowly. But it looks fantastic once it established.

this is funny i was googling the same plant and arrived back into the fish forums im looking for this plant too here in the phil but i could only find Hemianthus micranthemoides not that one hahaha everybody around the world is looking for this elusive plant

I've never seen it for sale. My suggestion would have been to e-mail Holger at Tropica, but I see you've already done that.

Thanks zig but there's no way of knowing if they sell HC without contacting them all. I've e-mailed Tropica in Denmark with the hope they can tell me who they've supplied some to - if anyone.

You cannot fault these guys. We now have a UK source of HC. And it is reasonably priced too - happy days.

Now all I have to do is convince the wife that the current layout needs updating - harder said than done let me tell you!

I highly recommend them. I bought some hairgrass a while ago and it was in excellent condition - better than Greenline. More expensive though.
