I know these aren't tropicals but i am sure treatment will be the same.

Over the last 2 days my 2 fantail goldies have been sitting on the bottom in the corners of the tank only moving when i feed them. This morning i notiecd that both their tails seem to have small white spots on them.

How do i treat this. I will go to the LFS tonight to pick up the neededmedicine.

Could you please post your water stars (ammonia, nitrite, and nitrate), how big the tank is, the fish in the tank, and how long it has been running?

sorry at last test which was yesterday everything was running spot on how you would expect your water to be.

The tank is a 20g UK, has been set up since march this year but the filter, gravel and decs have been in previous tanks with the fish for along time. I also have loads of filtration.

I will post up the stats tonight after i test again.

I had had a temp rise yesterday as it was so hot.

Looked again before i left for work and it looks like the tails and fins have been slightly rubbed in glitter. I do not hold much hope for my orange goldy as he is just laying there. so i fed him his fav peas and have my fingers crossed. I will be devestated if he goes had him for a while now and he is a real character.

i think it is aswell. It is my first ever outbreak of ich, hopefull i have caught it early and will start treating tonight, fingers crosed

i have treated the tank with intrepet white spot plus. the temp is around 26 due to the hot weather. can i do anything else for the fish. hope i have caught it early as i only noticed this yesterday

You can raise temp up o 30 but don' no if you can with goldfish, but you can add some sal to the tank, one teaspoon to the gal, and some salt baths.

do i just go the the LFS an ask for aquarium salt yeah. can i still feed my goldies treats such as worms and the like.

Use table salt, cut feeding down abit but bloodworms will be ok.
