Does this sond like a good combination for a 50gal

1 Oscar or Jaguar (Maybe)
3 Convicts (for sure)
3 Yellow labs (for sure)
1 Parrot fish (maybe)
? Electric blues or Frontosas(maybe)

Hey...

An oscar and a jag will outgrow a 50 gal tank and you'd only be able to keep them single. Yellow labs and Frontosa, electric blues are african cichlids where as Convicts and Oscars and parrots are New world cichlids. They shouldn't be kept together because of different water requirements. Convicts are mean little buggers and if you happen to have a breeding pair then you will have problems sonner or later. I'm sure you could set up a nice African tank with your 50....HIH a little

you cant mix american cichilds with africans like he said. so oscars and parrots and convicts cant go with yellow labs or the others. and an oscar needs more then a 50 gallon tank full grown. at least 55 if not 75 for 1 oscar. as for how many africans you can have i wouldnt know i dont keep them. just americans and tropical fish.
