Hi all,

Ive just finished cycling my 45 gallon tank and added 3 male powder blue gouramis from my lfs. Which from these forums may have been a mistake ad I should have bought 2 pairs.

There seems to have been a fight or some kind of accident and the most timid of the three is at the top of the tank breathing heavily with 3/4 of one of his feeler missing and a load of blood on the end of it.

what's the best thing to do here?

You'll have to separate them; nothing else you can do.

Good clean water (so plenty of water changes) is the bet medicine for injured fish, but do watch out for secondary infections, especially fungus.

If that develops, you might have to use an anti-fungal, but he'll probably heal up with no problem; fish are remarkably resiliant.
