I have one little betta that is an absolute pig. I think she must have eaten nearly all the betta pellets I put in for the five of them. She looks like she's about to burst. Why do female bettas insist on gorging themselves! (My biggest one ate about 15 mollie fry on a previous occasion, she could barely swim but it didn't stop her hunting them). Will this overeating episode cause her any damage? I think I should fast them for 2 days, but there are younger bettas in there (2.5mths). Will the "babies"(almost an inch long now) be okay without food for a few days? -_- TIA :D

Awww...I don't think you need to fast them....bettas are known to be super pigs and can poop just about as fast as they eat... Just be more careful as to how much you let her eat from now on. I also have had some crazy fat bettas....they just don't stop! :D

I would consider seperating her from the others if she's keeping the other fish from getting an appropriate amount of food (growing Bettas need their food).

It's all good!, I got up this morning and her belly is going down. I'll just have to watch how much each one gets. I feed the babies on a smaller flake food that the others don't really bother with I was just worried Miss Piggy would eat all that if there was no other alternative.
:D
