weeeell, i was at work and we got a shipment of bettas in over the weekend after some dude came and bought ALL of them, and i was going through them( because i jsut love to see what pretty new ones we get, its practically a ritual for me lol) andf at first i thought the cup was empty, but then i saw it, a betta that was less then a half an inch long and very thin floating at the top of the cup! the poor thing couldnt fit the betta bits in its mouth, i had to crush them up for it.

its been about 15 days since i found it, but its still really thin, but bigger, a bit over half an inch, and much healthier looking now, it actually has some color now, unlike before, it was all see transparent and limp, but should i be feeding it something else? it still cant each whole betta bits... and is still very skinny dispite my feeding it regularly ...

wow. good thing you caught it.

Do you have baby brine shrimp (live)?

Live food should be in its diet a lot; Walterworms, brine shrimp, daphnia. It should be fed 3 times a day so I would feed two live feeds and then one dry feed each day.

live food, .. i dont have any, but i can buy some from work later. how long should it be eating live food?

As concetrated diet it should be eating live food until it can take slightly larger pieces of pellet then you should change its diet to be more dry food orientated. Then treat as a normal fish and give it live food as a treat 1-2 times a week and vary its diet. You should also include a ground up deshelled blanched pea to its diet as a youngster as the high protein can cause digestive problems which the pea will help to avoid.
