be careful when using medications with loaches are they are scaleless fish that won't tolerate a full dose of many drugs.
Remove any carbon from the filter before you medicate otherwise the carbon will remove it for you.

Mature fish deepen considerably and females tend to be bulkier. There are various theories about caudal fin lobe shapes being different hope this helps you

Hey there. I doubt you have mature fish. Clown loaches grow to 8 or 12 inches in length--even more than that in the wild--and it takes many years for them to reach this size. If you've only had the tank for 1 1/2 months you probably didn't buy fully grown clowns.
Someone said above that it is important for them to all be the same size but this is incorrect. Your largest will be dominant and the smaller ones will simply follow along. If you have one that is the same or almost the same size as the largest they may periodically fight for dominance. This is normal and they usually do not harm each other.
Adding more to the group is always a good idea if your tank is large enough. Adult clowns need a 6 foot tank but younger ones will do fine in a 4 foot tank.
HTH.
only treatments you will need to be carefull with is whitespot treatment, so use the w3 whitespot treatment the doses are very small because you use drops instead, but it is a lot stronger than the other white spot treatments.
