hi,
please can i get some advice about my sick clown loach. he has a white covering over his entire body. all i can say is that it looks like spiderweb or like when your skin peels when you have sun burn. i am treating him with tetra medica general tonic and i have done a 50% water change. any other ideas would be great.
thanks

well sadly clown loaches are prone to whitespot and ick, did you do full or half dosage?
i lost mine last week to the same thing :(

i followed the instructions on the bottle. turned the water green though. and so far no other fish seem to be affected.

i have had no experience with that med so i am afraid i can't help you there, what else do you have in the tank and do they have it?

Size of tank in gallons or litres.
How many fish and which type.
Water stats in ammonia, nitrite, nitrate, and ph.
Are the clown flickings and rubbing.

I read online that they're prone to ick if they don't get bloodworms or something like it in their diet...
This is for when yours is doing better and I hope that is SOON! I feed mine bloodworms everyday and so far so good...
Hope things get better for yours!! :good:

Sorry to hear that. Do you have a Q tank??
