I have been given a tropical tank a complete set up. I have approx 30-40 fish. I have lots of swordtails (i think thats what they are) and 2 gouramis again a guess the sword tail are biting at him and just being bullies what can I do

Are the swordtails still bothering the gourami? can you see any spots/patches the gourami has it been flicking/rubing on anything? any swolen/red areas?
reason i ask is because sometimes fish will pick on others if they are ill, and if it is ill it will need treating.

yes there are red marks at the base of the tail fin

What size is the tank?. 30-40 fish could be way too many.

also what are your water stats (ammonia, nitrite, nitrate)?
