First of all I am new to forums and have no idea what I am doing so please bear with me!

But I am really in need of some advice...

I have a community tank that I have been running for about 3 years and have two clown loaches that are of a good size now, I have a plec and various mollys, plateys, danios, tetra, two silver dollars and guppies. (excuse my awful guess work spelling!)

I did have a sliver shark and another plec and a geophagus but they all died recently, at first I thought it might be the hot weather as there is nothing wrong with the water etc...

But I did also recently add a pair of nanochromis parilus at the advice of my stockist, I suddently thought that they might be the cause. Although I have not noticed any real aggression that I would be worried about I thought I'd check it out. I can't find any info on these fish on the net and the stockist wasn't much help.

Anyone got any experience with these fish or any advice?

Thank you!

whats the size of the tank and all the water perameters, as in temp ph, ammonia nitrite and nitrate readings.
and what is your tank maintenance schedule
i`m guessing if you`ve had 2 plecs and a pair of clown loached in there for 3 years its well over stocked

My tank is a jewel vision 180.

The clown loaches are about 3.5" I'm guessing. I have only had the plecs for a few months and they are about 2.5" then I have about 8 smaller fish that are around 1.5" and then 6 six guppys. The shark was around 3-4" and so was the geophagus.

Thanks, what do you reckon?

i`m not exactly sure but you tank is overt stocked how often do you test the water?

did the fish show any symptoms before they died?

No symptoms at all which is y it threw me completely.

I have a water testing kit and usually test every month but did it as soon as the fish died.

Do you know if nano parilus are ok in a community tank?
