help.
i have recently taken a piece of mopany wood from existing tank to put in my new setup and i have just got home to find it has white furry stuff growing on it but only on the lighter parts of the wood!
there are no fish in this tank yet and the water stats are all good ( the same infact as the tank the wood was taken from in the first place ).
please can some one give me a clue as to what this is and to what if anything i need to do, to get rid of it.

thanks izzakstahn

was aiming to introduce first fish this weekend, but may have to wait :(

Just remove it from the tank and scrub in hot salty water, let it soak in some hot clean salty water for a few hours, rinse well, and let dry out for a day.
